Decent beer selection and friendly service. Hidden away in downtown Melbourne and not well marked from the outside. Comfortable interior and knowledgeable staff. Always have something interesting on tap. Local and more popular selections.

This place is fire 🔥 the decor with the tree in the middle of the bar and old school windows is something you don’t see. The love how they split the bar down the middle to maintain an event on one side and a regular bar crowd in the other side. Lily the bartender made my drinks all night and I could tell by the first sip she is a pro 👌🏼 I came down for a burlesque show hosted by Ivy Lez Vixens. That show was amazing. Ivy is such a great host she could have just done comedy all night. Hats off to this beautiful venue and the burlesque event. If you have an opportunity to stop by and check out the bar and burlesque show, take it!

I've been going to Iron Oak for years now and although there's been changes over the years (including owners), there's always been three consistent things. 1) Awesome atmosphere, 2) Fantastic friendly service, 3) A killer beer selection!

Amazing place. Love the small venue for alternative bands. Great owners. All around a great vibe. Lucky to have a place this cool in Melbourne. They also do karaoke!

We went for karaoke night. Had a blast. DJ was great. Service could be improved. Not enough bar tenders. Its loud, but its kareoke night so go to sing and dance.

I visited The Iron Oak Post last October during a karaoke night. As someone from Germany, I’m honestly not used to that much energy in a pub or bar. But in the best possible way, this experience completely won me over. The atmosphere was vibrant, welcoming, and full of life. What felt unfamiliar at first quickly turned into an unforgettable evening. The drinks deserve a special mention, especially the beers. They taste great and offer an impressive variety of flavors. Of course, they’re different from what I know back home. But that’s exactly what made it exciting. Discovering so many unique styles and tastes was part of the fun and added to the overall experience. I will definitely return this year. A fantastic bar with an incredible vibe and a truly memorable atmosphere.

Official Buffalo Bills backer club now! Fabulous new kitchen and menu! Great spot to see local music, national acts, kareoke, open mic night. If you are in need of a venue for a fundraising event, this is a great spot too.

We came out for the Krampus shopping and party on December 7th. Josie and Candace made us feel welcome and served great drinks! We loved the southwest style pork tacos! We will definitely be back.

Last night at Iron Oak Post, I caught up with my U.S. Air Force Security Forces brother, Blaze Diori, for the first time in over 23 years. I went to a Reverend Horton Heat show here, and it was really good! Dunies opened for them and they did a great job too. When you walk in, there's a pool table and some seating next to the bar. On the left, there's another room which is where the live music is. There's bar access from that room too. I didn't get any food while I was there and I didn't drink anything, but the person I was with liked their drinks! Overall a good experience and I would go to another show there in the future.
